Chester Bennington was best known for his role in Linkin Park, but he also fronted Stone Temple Pilots from 2013 to 2015. Following Bennington’s death yesterday, the surviving members of STP have issued a statement on their webpage. “It is a sad day today to know that so many of us will no longer share in your laughter, friendship and love,” the band wrote. “You showed us time and time again what it is to be an incredible human being.” The group also posted a YouTube clip of Bennington singing “Wonderful” with the late Scott Weiland during the 2001 Family Values Tour. Listen to the song and read Stone Temple Pilot’s full statement below.

Chester,
It is a sad day today to know that so many of us will no longer share in your laughter, friendship and love. You showed us time and time again what it is to be an incredible human being. A beacon of light and hope is what you will always be to us. We love you Chester. We will miss you.
