Oneohtrix Point Never has released the first track from his soundtrack for the upcoming crime thriller Good Time, directed by the Safdie brothers and starring Robert Pattinson. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival, and Lopatin won the Best Soundtrack Award for his score. The soundtrack is being released on Warp on August 11. “The Pure and the Damned” is a collaboration with Iggy Pop, who delivers vocals that are part sung, part spoken word. A snippet of the track was previously featured in the trailer for the film. The song builds from a fragile piano ballad into a full Oneohtrix-y maelstrom of layered synths by the end. Listen below.
