Mental Illness, Aimee Mann‘s anticipated followup to her 2012 LP Charmer, is due out at the end of the month via SuperEgo Records. (She’s called it her “saddest” and “slowest.”) The singer-songwriter has just released a new single toward the release, “Patient Zero,” in the form of a star-studded, high-concept music video. The video features a motley group of aging actors putting on a fictional play called The Hermit, and stars actors Bradley Whitford and James Urbaniak. There are also cameos from Mad Men‘s Matthew Weiner and Rich Sommer, as well as Tim Heidecker.
