Jeremih Pretends to Answer the Question of Whether He Sent Out a Body Double at a Houston Concert

In a new interview with Complex, Jeremih was mostly all positivity and transparency. He talked up his new single “I Think of You” (despite the fact that he apparently traded a T.I. feature for one by Big Sean). Despite prodding, he refrained from taking any digs at his label Def Jam, with whom he has taken issue in the past–specifically, in regards to the rollout of his long-delayed 2015 studio album Late Nights. He says he’s ready to get back on tour, after he releases his next album, supposedly titled Later That Night.

But most importantly, Complex addressed the elephant in the room: Jeremih’s supposed use of a body double at a Houston performance in December. This was likely one of the escalating circumstances that led to Jeremih being dropped from his joint tour with PartyNextDoor, along with previous ego-clashes with PND.

Here’s how Jeremih handled the million-dollar question:

And what happened during that Houston date? There were rumors that you used a stunt double.

[Jeremih’s publicist interjects. A pause.] I was there in Houston, just to answer that question.

It is safe to say that “I was there in Houston” does not exactly answer the question. It is also safe to say that there might be legal reasons why Jeremih gave that specifically worded answer. For now, the mystery remains unsolved.
