Mike Judge–creator of Beavis & Butt-Head, King of the Hill, Silicon Valley, Idiocracy, and Office Space–has a new show coming to Cinemax called Tales From the Tour Bus. According to Deadline, which broke the news, the eight-episode series will chronicle “country music’s most eccentric characters,” and will premiere sometime later this year.

As his first animated show since King of the Hill went off the air in 2010, Tales From the Tour Bus is something of a return to form for Judge. He has always been adept from using music to develop his characters, from the metal in Beavis & Butt-Head to the gangsta rap in Office Space, but Tales will be Judge’s most explicitly musical creation to date. As the blog Saving Country Music notesKing of the Hill‘s long roster of country musician guest stars–including Willie Nelson, George Strait, Dwight Yoakam, and many others–might offer some hints about the characters in the upcoming show.
