Hear Dashboard Confessional Cover the 1975, Julien Baker, and Sorority Noise on Surprise New EP

Long-running emo-acoustic outfit Dashboard Confessional have shared a surprise covers EP, Covered and Taped, which features an eclectic quartet of recent pop, indie, and rock covers: the 1975’s “Sex,” Julien Baker’s “Sprained Ankle,” Justin Bieber’s “Love Yourself,” and Sorority Noise’s “Using.” As it turns out, “Love Yourself” makes a surprisingly appropriate Dashboard Confessional song.

Dashboard Confessional’s most recent album was 2009’s Alter the Ending. In 2015, frontman Chris Carrabba told EW he was about to start writing a new record “any minute now.” The band is also currently on a U.S. tour. Check here for dates.
