A pair of public memorials for the late, great soul singer Sharon Jones have been announced. The first will take place on December 14 at Brooklyn’s Brown Memorial Baptist Church. The event is scheduled to start there at 6 p.m.

On December 17, there will be another memorial at Imperial Theater in her birthplace, Augusta, Georgia. That tribute is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m.

The announcement urges Jones’s family, friends, and fans “to come together to celebrate the singer’s life and endless spirit.” Jones died at the age of 60 on November 18 after a lengthy battle with pancreatic cancer.
