In addition to a couple of previously announced European dates, Fleet Foxes will embark on a world tour in 2017, with dates in the U.S., E.U., and Australia. “I’ve been getting some messages on Instagram from people intending to fly / travel long distances to see us in Ireland in July; Iveagh Gardens wanted to announce the show early, but we’ll be doing a full world tour in 2017-18 so no need to spend a lot on travel!” frontman Robin Pecknold wrote on the band’s Facebook page.

In a comment on an Instagram photo taken yesterday at New York City’s Electric Lady Studios, Pecknold sketched out the band’s itinerary so far: “Australia in May, EU in July, US Aug, US October, EU November.” Last month, Fleet Foxes teased that their new album was “alllllmost done.” Based on earlier Instagram comments from Pecknold, the record is known by the working title of Crack-Up. Fleet Foxes’ last album was 2011’s Helplessness Blues.

So: 2016 has been terrible, but we’re getting a new Fleet Foxes record next year, and now you know what month(s) you’ll need to clear your schedule if you’re hoping to catch a live concert. Allow these thoughts to sustain you as you follow the pack through the snow this winter. Check out the band’s social media announcements below.
