Onetime collaborators A$AP Rocky and SpaceGhostPurrp have been on bad terms since 2012, when the latter rapper claimed that a member of the A$AP Mob jumped his cousin. So it’s a surprise to hear “R.I.P. Yams,” a collaboration between the two that SpaceGhostPurrp released on SoundCloud this morning.
It’s questionable that the material here is genuinely new, considering the feud, and the fact that the vocals sound like they were recorded into a $10 mic from RadioShack. The two were beefing as recently as January, when SpaceGhostPurrp affiliate Chxpo released a diss track against the late A$AP Yams, who this new song is ostensibly memorializing. That would seem like sort of a hard thing to put in the past, but who knows? Maybe this is SGP reusing an old Rocky vocal, or maybe they actually made nice. Either way, listen below.
