Last night, a fundraiser for the Malibu Boys And Girls Club turned into a dad rock summit. Red Hot Chili Peppers’ Chad Smith, Beck, Chris Martin, Bruce Springsteen’s E Street Band keyboardist Roy Bittan, the Wallflowers’ Jakob Dylan, and Goldfrapp’s Davide Rossi formed a temporary supergroup to perform covers of alternative and classic rock staples. The set list included Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb,” Beck’s own “Where It’s At,” Bruce Springsteen’s “My Hometown,” Twenty One Pilots’ “House Of Gold” with Martin’s son Moses, and the Beach Boys “Surfin’ USA.” Do a bit of vicarious living and watch the clips (collected by Stereogum) below.
