Against Me!‘s newest record, Shape Shift With Me, is now streaming ahead of its September 16th release via their own Total Treble Imprint. Listen to it below, via NPR. Lead singer Laura Jane Grace told Consequence of Sound that the inspiration for the record came from wanting to write about relationships from a trans perspective. “There’s been an infinite amount of records talking about what love means from a cisgender perspective,” she explained. “I wanted to present the trans perspective on sex, love and heartbreak.” It’s their first record since 2014’s Transgender Dysphoria Blues.
