After releasing the video for “Come Near Me” last week, Massive Attack return with a video for “The Spoils.” The John Hillcoat-directed clip has a different focus but is just as morbid: Actress Cate Blanchett’s face morphs and turns to stone before decomposing.
“The Spoils” — which features Mazzy Star singer Hope Sandoval — originally appeared alongside “Come Near Me” on the group’s Fantom app, which is described as a “sensory music player that remixes and reforms songs.” You can settle for an eroding Blanchett below.
