Math rock is having a bit of a moment. After teasing a few days ago that something was coming, American Football have announced they’ll be releasing their eponymously titled sophomore album on October 21. It’s also their first album in 17 years. The group previously reunited in 2014 to embark on a reunion tour.
American Football’s announcement doesn’t just come with torturous anticipation, though. They’ve announced tour dates and released a new single entitled “I’ve Been So Lost for So Long,” which captures some of the wistful melancholy of the band’s 1999 album.
