YG Joins Unlikely Forces With G-Eazy and Macklemore on ‘FDT Part 2’

Hardly anybody immediately considers Macklemore and G-Eazy woke — unless it’s satirically speaking. Yet, here they are on YG‘s “FDT Part 2.”

It’s no surprise that YG — who spent a good portion of his sophomore effort Still Brazy directing his ire at systemic injustice — comes out with the strongest verse: “Thought I was making songs just to ride / But come to find out your own kind don’t even like you / Macklemore don’t like you, G-Eazy don’t like you.”

And that’s the gist of this sequel, that white rappers will not vote for Donald Trump. G-Eazy shouts out Orlando before hitting on Donald’s daughter Ivanka, and Macklemore declares party in the streets when Hillary Clinton wins.

“FDT Part 2” drops during the Republican National Convention, which — if you haven’t heard — has been a bit of a mess. Give it a listen below.
