ScHoolboy Q‘s excellent third album Blank Face LP dropped earlier this month and its dark introspection and classic West Coast gangsta noir has reignited the conversation of how his skills stack up against his buddy Kendrick Lamar.
One of the record’s highlights, the languid “JoHn Muir,” now has a video, in which Q is never shown but the camera follows a car traveling through different neighborhoods at different times of day for different purposes. It’s stark, creeping and surprisingly beautiful, just like the tune. Watch “JoHn Muir” below.
