DJ Khaled, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, and Betty Wright Deliver the ‘Holy Key’

After a few minutes of sloganeering and DJ rewinds, DJ Khaled finally played the full version of “Holy Key” on Beats 1. The Major Key cut is just as starpacked as the album’s other singles; this time, Kendrick Lamar, Big Sean, and soul singer Betty Wright share vocal duties.

As they’re often wont to do, the two rappers go hard in their verses. Big Sean goes from religious imagery to a perversion of a known Obi-Wan Kenobi line (“If you shoot me then you gotta deal with the holy me”). Lamar follows up with a slickly flowing verse stacked with hyperbole (“The universe and the heavens work in my DNA”). Then there’s Betty Wright saving our souls with her gospel singing.

During his Beats 1 set, DJ Khaled also premiered a small snippet of his collaboration with Nas. As you may have heard, Nas is no joke.
