Toronto singer Charlotte Day Wilson’s soulful performance on BADBADNOTGOOD’s “In Your Eyes” immediately stuck out as one of IV‘s highlights. But she’s also a star in her own right: Wilson is releasing her debut EP, CDW, on August 26, and “Find You” is a cut off the project. The single debuted on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio show earlier today.
The production is an idyllic waltz that sounds spun from Seal’s “Kiss From a Rose” fabric. But as in “In Your Eyes,” it’s Wilson’s mix of vocal restraint and sweetness that takes center stage.
