AlunaGeorge’s ‘Mean What I Mean’ Is the Latest Pop Jam About Consent

London pop duo AlunaGeorge have shared a new single, “Mean What I Mean,” featuring Chicago singer and rapper Dreezy and mask-wearing Brooklyn MC Leikeli47. The song is a bubbly, EDM-inspired pop jam, but much like Meghan Trainor, AlunaGeorge’s Aluna Francis says what she means, and what she’s saying is “no.”

AlunaGeorge’s sophomore album, I Remember, is due out September 16 from Interscope. The group are set to join Sia’s tour beginning in September. Listen to “Mean What I Mean” and Annie Mac‘s interview with Francis below.
