Preoccupations (Formerly Viet Cong) Confirm New Album, Share ‘Anxiety’ Video

Preoccupations (a.k.a. the group formerly known as Viet Cong) have confirmed that they will drop a new self-titled album on September 16 via Jagjaguwar. The follow-up to last year’s Viet Cong features the single “Anxiety,” which has a new video directed by Yoonha Park.

“‘Monotony’ is a dead end job; ‘Anxiety’ is changing as a band,” says frontman Matt Flegel, describing of the album’s song titles. “‘Memory’ is watching someone lose their mind; ‘Fever’ is comforting someone. It’s all drawing from very specific things.”

The band has also shared a track list, cover art, and a long string of world tour dates. Check all of that out, plus the video, below.

Preoccupations track list:

1. “Anxiety”
2. “Monotony”
3. “Zodiac”
4. “Memory”
5. “Degraded”
6. “Sense”
7. “Forbidden”
