Are puppet-themed videos making a comeback? Days after Aesop Rock the Doll played with his cat in “Kirby,” Parquet Courts debut their own puppet-heavy video for Human Performance‘s excellent title track.
There are fewer cats and a lot more NSFW action involving — you guessed it — puppets. A bespectacled marionette mournfully sings the lyrics, while a middle-aged couple goes through the trials of romance: orgies, spankings after a card game, and other regular chill stuff like that.
