The exclusivity war between digital streaming service providers wages on this evening with DJ Mustard’s new TIDAL exclusive “Don’t Hurt Me,” a track that features Nicki Minaj and Jeremih (who the producer also enlisted for the untouchably perfect “Don’t Tell ‘Em”) reuniting for the first time since 2014’s The Pinkprint.
Over Mustard’s trademark staccato synthesizers, the R&B and rap stars respectively beast their verses. Minaj particularly shines in her sung moment, emphasizing the emotionally charged pipes she’s become so good at busting out in recent years. “All these bitches begging me to pass the baton,” she sneers on a late-in-the-game rap.
