Nashville garage-rock hooligans Diarrhea Planet have come a long way since 2013 and their third album, Turn to Gold, is out next Friday, June 10. The record begins a little slowly with the instrumental opener “Hard Style,” but quickly picks up with “Announcement” and a run of three new songs we’ve already heard from the band: “Life Pass,” and “Let It Out,” and “Bob Dylan’s Grandma.” Don’t be put off by Diarrhea Planet’s admittedly nasty moniker — their slack, noisy rock is sure bet for a summer road-trip playlist.
