After her Saturday Night Live gig a few weeks back, Alicia Keys is gearing up to release her first album since 2012’s Girl on Fire. Today (May 20), The FADER premiered the music video for the untitled project’s lead single, “In Common.” The black-and-white video features Keys singing by a fire escape and dancers flexing and shaking within the dreamy soundscape.
“This video is about celebrating our individuality, and how in the brilliance of our uniqueness, the magic of it all is at the core, we are all the same,” she said to FADER. “We want the same things. We all want to experience love, the freedom to be our truest selves, to love whomever we want and to be accepted and celebrated for all of our nuances and so called imperfections that make us, us.”
