Drake protegé iLoveMakonnen turns 27 this coming club-going-up-on-a-Tuesday, and he’s giving gifts, starting with two brand-new songs: self-referential “I Remember Makonnen Freestyle” and wistful “Stay With Me Tonight.” The first is a ten-minute stream of consciousness about Makonnen Sheran’s personal struggles, including family, weight loss, and the death of his dog Princess; the second is a synth-inflected missive to an indecisive lover.
