Canadian ambient composer and sound designer Tim Hecker has returned with “Black Phase,” the final teaser of his upcoming album Love Streams, and it’s only a shade less creepy than last month’s static-blurred single “Castrati Stack.” Recorded in Reykjavik, the track features the eery vocal stylings of the Icelandic Choir Ensemble, arranged by Oscar-nominated Icelandic composer Jóhann Jóhannsson.
Love Streams is out April 8 from 4AD in the U.S. and Paper Bag in Canada. Stream “Black Phase” below.
