‘Calentura: Global Bassment’ Gets Jacked-Up Low-End From Bass Producers

Fania Records has partnered with global-focused bass DJ crew Calentura for a compilation of remixed tracks from the Latin label’s iconic catalog. Calentura: Global Bassment, out on March 11, is a searing collection of blown-out low-end reworks by the likes of Major Lazer’s Jillionaire, Los Angeles electronic futurists Nguzunguzu, and Uproot Andy, co-founder of tropical New York City party-starters Que Bajo?! Celia Cruz has always sounded this good, but she’s never sounded quite like this before.
