While most of the music world was assembled at the 2016 Grammys last night, Jimmy Kimmel Live somehow nabbed Panic! at the Disco and onetime R&B superstar Sisqo for another round of Mashup Mondays. Renamed Panic! at the Sisqo, the assembled group performed the platinum-haired singer’s 1999 ode to G-strings, “The Thong Song.”

It was a clever idea in theory, but lead singer Brendon Urie, who generally never leaves the highest octave, couldn’t quite manage Sisqo’s opening low tones. And Sisqo, despite looking like he’d been broken out of a literal pre-millennium time capsule for the occasion, easily stole the show with a choreographed routine and an unchanged howl of “That thong-thong-thong-thong-thong!” Watch below.
