Future, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Duran Duran, and More to Play Ottawa Bluesfest

Correction: An earlier version of this post noted that the Bluesfest would take place in downtown Ontario when, in fact, it takes place in downtown Ottawa. SPIN regrets the error.

The lineup for the 2016 edition of the Ottawa Bluesfest — which takes place every July in downtown Ottawa, and has evolved from a mostly blues-focused festival to something a little more freeform in genre — has been announced. Headliners for the ten-day fest include alt-rock elder statesmen Red Hot Chili Peppers and Noel Gallagher (with his High Flying Birds), new-wave heroes Duran Duran and Billy Idol, and country stars Sam Hunt and Brad Paisley. Among the ranks of other featured performers are Future, Wolf Parade, ScHoolboy Q, Bryan Ferry, Earl Sweatshirt, Alessia Cara, Joe Jackson, Thomas Rhett, and the recently reunited Monkees.

See the fuller schedule for the event over at ottawabluesfest.ca, and look for the ticket pre-sale, beginning this Thursday at 10 a.m. EST.
