Two years after electronic maestro Nicolas Jaar was commissioned to remix Kanye West’s Yeezus standout “Blood on the Leaves” for a video shown as part of the ART + FILM series held by the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the song can now be heard via the short film online. Jaar’s “Blood on the Leaves” strips the vocals, focusing the emphasis to the song’s stunning piano loops and flattened horns — a perfect soundtrack for Picturing Barbara Kruger, which features the titular visual artist narrating a five-minute clip about her life and work.
