Lady Gaga and Nile Rodgers Pay Tribute to David Bowie at the 2016 Grammy Awards

Lady Gaga just performed a massive, career-spanning tribute set at the Grammy Awards in David Bowie’s honor alongside Nile Rodgers, touching upon ten moments from the late musical legend’s iconic catalogue. Beginning with “Space Oddity” and working her way through “Ziggy Stardust,” “Rebel Rebel,” and seven others — some in very abbreviated form, but still — the 29-year-old pop star dressed in Bowie’s iconic Ziggy outfit as projections splashed across her face. Costume changes, choreography, and live instrumentation all followed. The only downside: Gaga’s very, very muted mic. Her vocals were barely present in a performance that would’ve benefited from the added oomph her muscular harmonizing can achieve.
