Bernie Sanders Closes Iowa Caucus Speech With David Bowie’s ‘Starman’

Are you feelin’ the Bern yet? No? Well, maybe this video from last night — of the many musician- and millennial-endorsed presidential candidate closing his Iowa caucus speech with David Bowie‘s “Starman” — will change your mind. According to Pitchfork (via PBS), Sanders has been incorporating the song into his public appearances leading up to the caucus. Though the Starman himself was avowedly apolitical, we like to think he might have approved. Watch Sanders’ speech, and his celestial walk-off music about half a minute from the end, below.
