Sigh, Azealia Banks Supports Donald Trump for President

Azealia Banks — who it was just announced will not face charges for allegedly assaulting a security guard at a Los Angeles club — is supporting Donald J. Trump in his candidacy for the office of President of the United States of America. In a series of tweets last night, the outspoken, controversial rapper gave her coveted endorsement to the outspoken, controversial reality TV host, saying that the Donald is “the only one who truly has the balls to bust up big business. Hilary is too tied in with them and Bernie has no clout.”

To be fair, her tweetstorm makes some salient points about how America depends on a “systematically oppressed underclass,” though it’s tricky to see how that line of logic follows through to her conclusion that “Donald trump is evil like America is evil and in order for America to keep up with itself it needs him.” In any case, this is good news for Trump — the golden-haired frontrunner has had trouble finding musicians who want to be associated with his campaign. Now that Banks is in his corner, though, we’re sure Iowa voters will love to sing along with the lyrics to “212.”

Also, Banks announced that she’s releasing a new song called “The Big Beat” on February 7. We’ll believe it when we see it.
