Despite getting so-so reviews, HBO’s Vinyl has been churning out some pretty decent covers of early ’70s songs every week. We’ve already heard Julian Casablancas‘ cover of the Velvet Underground’s “Run Run Run” by and Neko Case’s version of “Danny’s Song.” Now we’ve got four more covers on deck, each of which will appear in Vinyl‘s forthcoming third episode, airing on February 28. There’s Andrew W.K. performing Alice Cooper’s “I Love the Dead,” Nate Ruess covering the Raspberries’ “I Wanna Be With You,” the Milk Carton Kids playing England Dan and John Ford Coley’s “Simone,” and Vinyl‘s fictional punk act the Nasty Bits playing Rocket From the Tombs’ “What Love Is.” Listen to all four tracks below.
