The inaugural Electronic Music Awards and Foundation has been launched, and an awards ceremony has been announced for April 23 on FOX. Co-executive-produced by pioneering U.K. DJ Paul Oakenfold and directed by Russell Thomas, who helmed Katy Perry: All Of Me and MTV’s EMA Awards, the showcase will feature all the trimmings: a red carpet rollout, awards presentation, interviews, and live performances from dance/electronic artists. Artists set to take part in the proceedings have not been announced yet, but for more information on the organization and the show, which is set to air at from 8 to 9 p.m. EST/PST (it will be filmed a week earlier, on April 14), visit EMAF’s official website.
