Sicko Mobb’s candyflipping autotuned ballads are a far cry from fellow Chicagoan Jeremih‘s nocturnal R&B, but the Windy City connection propels a new collaborative track between the trio. “Expensive Taste,” features one of of the Sickos’ usual twinkling fairy light beats, but Jeremih provides a relative sobriety to the proceedings even as he sing-raps about seafood. You’ll want to listen at The Fader — who also report that Super Saiyan 3, the latest in a string of Sicko Mobb mixtapes (one of which made SPIN‘s 50 Best Hip-Hop Albums of 2015, will be out soon.
For what it’s worth, Sicko Mobb also detailed how their collaboration with Jeremih happened: “We actually met at one of our performances at a strip club and it’s been history ever since.”
