Ryan Adams Performs a Trio of His ‘1989’ Covers on ‘Daily Show’

Ryan Adams showed up with his five-piece band on The Daily Show With Trevor Noah last night to play “Bad Blood,” one of the best of the Taylor Swift covers from his recent 1989 full-length run through. The singer/songwriter also stuck around for a couple of web-exclusive performances of “Style” and “Blank Space” (“This one goes out to Sandra Bullock’s character in the movie The Net) taking a minute to banter with the host before the former. (“What was interesting to me was a lot of people thought you recorded this album ironically, and yet you did not,” Noah remarks to Adams. “Yes,” he perplexedly responds.)
