Gwen Stefani’s just premiered the music video for her new song “Used to Love You” and it’s the very same visual she used on Saturday night at her special one-night only show in New York City. Co-written by behind-the-scenes pop riser Justin Tranter (formerly of Semi Precious Weapons, who also happened to be at Stefani’s concert on Saturday night to see the track’s debut) and Julia Michaels — the team responsible for much of Selena Gomez’s new album Revival — “Used to Love You” presents a stark, one-take shot of the singer as she sits with her head in her hands, remembering the fissures that led to her marriage’s crumbling. It’s totally effective. Watch below.
