Los Angeles singer (and Sufjan Stevens opening act) Gallant has revealed the passionate, sparkling music video for his breakout hit “Weight in Gold.” The visual sees the singer standing in a black, empty room, while multicolor lights flash and swirl around him, building in intensity as the song reaches its peak.
“Since ‘Weight in Gold’ is really just an unfiltered list of all the thoughts that pop in and out of my head, it felt right to visually pair it with something just as disorderly, abstract, and human,” he explained to the FADER, who premiered the short. Check it out over on their website.
