[articleembed id=”148374″ title=”Seinabo Sey's Upcoming Debut Is 'Burning a Hole in Her Soul'” image=”148484″ excerpt=”After three years of work and two critically acclaimed EPs to her name, Swedish soul-pop singer Seinabo Sey says she's been stressing about putting the finishing touches on her upcoming full-length debut, due in September”]

Swedish singer Seinabo Sey’s just announced the details of her eagerly anticipated debut album, whic she’s titled Pretend. It’ll consist of 12 tracks and four bonus songs too, and it’ll hit shelves on October 23. Some of the tracks appeared on last fall’s For Madeleine EP and this spring’s For Maudo European release, smaller bodies of work that drew enough fans to lead to sold out shows on her recent spring tour.

When SPIN talked to Seinabo Sey about the album earlier this year, she expressed fears about finally letting the album go into the world. “In my mind, I’m like, ‘I need to go back into the studio and do one more thing,’ but I think this is all about me not knowing how it’s supposed to feel when you finish an album,” she said. “I’m having a hard time letting go.”
