Pearl Jam and Beyoncé Team Up to Cover Bob Marley’s ‘Redemption Song’

Pearl Jam played their first full live set of the year Saturday night at New York’s Global Citizen Festival, and for their closing number they decided to do something a little unusual. Beyoncé, who also performed at the Global Poverty Project event earlier in the day, came out on stage to help the alt-rockers cover Bob Marley’s “Redemption Song” and send the gathered masses home with a spirit of charity and camaraderie in the air. And hey, Eddie Vedder and Bey’s voices pair pretty well together.

Pearl Jam also performed a cover of John Lennon’s “Imagine” and Beyoncé brought out co-headliner Ed Sheeran to play “Drunk in Love” during her own set at the fest. Catch videos of all these highlights right here.
