Eagles of Death Metal Mock Los Angeles Cool Kids on ‘Silverlake’

Eagles of Death Metal (the duo of Jesse Hughes and Queens of the Stone Age‘s Josh Homme) will release their latest record of fuzzy joke-rock songs, Zipper Down, early next month and today they’ve finally shared another taste of that LP. Over at Rolling Stone they shared the tongue-in-cheek “Silverlake,” a takedown of the “cool kids” in the Los Angeles neighborhood of the same name. Along with some buzzy bar-rock, it features the rallying cry of the almost-important as it’s winking chorus: “Don’t you know who I am?”

Listen here in advance of Zipper Down‘s October 2 release.
