Following up last year’s impressive Friend of Mine LP and this year’s awesome “You Don’t Have to Be Alone,” the producer duo once known as DJ Dodger Stadium returns today with “In the Flames” (h/t Stereogum), their second single under their acronymic second name. Like “Alone,” the new “Flames” is a sparkling jam with a deep melancholic undercurrent, the chopped-up vocal sample of the verse giving way (via piano breakdown) to an auto-tuned moan on the chorus asking “Will you be there when I need you?”
