Beach House Share New Song, ‘Helicopter Dream (I’m Awake)’

They were guests on Wayne Coyne's new podcast

Correction: According to an email from Beach House’s representatives, “It is not a new song. Not even their voices on that podcast. Sorry!” If you’re still clamoring for more Beach House, take a listen to Depression Cherry on Spotify

The Flaming Lips’ Wayne Coyne now has a podcast called “The Fearless Freakcast,” and for his first episode he hosted dream-pop purveyors Beach House; in fact, “dream-pop” was one of the subjects discussed, including singer and keyboardist Victoria Legrand’s coffee mug addiction, guitarist Alex Scally’s accompanying coffee addiction, and their drummer stealing money from them to buy more drums. But we’re all burying the lede here: the Baltimore duo unveiled a new song, “Helicopter Dreams (I’m Awake),” which did not make it onto their last album, this year’s Depression Cherry. Download the podcast and listen to the fuzzy space-age odyssey, which comes at the very end of the podcast.
