A recent signing of the Detroit noiseniks in Wolf Eyes has proved that Jack White’s Third Man Records isn’t afraid to get weird, and the latest addition to their label’s stable proves it. The best ever post-punk band outta Austin, Texas, VIDEO have announced their affiliation with the label with “New Immortals,” a single whose tensile prickliness could only come from the Lonestar State’s desolate environs.
They start the single with the proclamation that “there is no god,” but if Third Man’s starting to enlist bands like these, there must be. The quartet will release their full LP The Entertainers on October 30. Listen to “New Immortals” here and buy the 7-inch now.
