The Weeknd, who? Kanye West protegé-turned-collaborator — and maybe future threat for the throne — Vic Mensa dropped a new track on Friday. Featuring production from a dream team of Mensa, Stefan Ponce (Childish Gambino), the Social Experiment‘s Peter Cottontale, and Om’mas Keith (Frank Ocean), the track booms and rolls with the brass of Late Registration and the slightly sinister undertones of Yeezus‘ lighter moments (though he’d probably say otherwise).

“They may say everything that glistens isn’t gold,” says Mensa, but this song damn near is. Listen here and keep an eye out for his forthcoming LP, Traffic, on Roc Nation.
