The Libertines Share Two New Tracks: ‘Glasgow Coma Scale Blues’ and ‘Anthem For Doomed Youth’

In the span of 24 hours, the newly reunited Libertines have shared not one, but two new songs from their forthcoming record, Anthems for Doomed Youth: the album’s title track and “Glasgow Coma Scale Blues.”

The former song sounds uncharacteristically chilled-out — not to mention very optimistic — for the typically rollicking Brit-rock outfit (“Life can be so handsome / It’s all going to be OK”), while the latter is a harmony-fueled arena anthem that’s just the right amount of messy. Listen to both below, and look for the band’s first album in 11 years on, fittingly, September 11 (moved back a few days from its original expected release) via Harvest.
