Protomartyr Share Downtrodden New Song, ‘Dope Cloud’

Ahead of the Detroit post-punk project’s upcoming record, The Agent Intellect, Protomartyr have shared a glass-half-empty track titled “Dope Cloud.” Against angular guitar solos and thudding percussion, frontman Joe Casey utters words of location-based discomfort: “The dope cloud that’s descending on this town / Is blowing gold dust into the pockets of the undeserving / And I’m wrung out.” Listen below, look out for The Agent Intellect on October 9 via Hardly Art, and re-read our In The Studio conversation with Protomartyr.
