SPIN‘s praised the virtues of U.K. rapper Little Simz before — the 21-year-old’s one of the most interesting voices to blow up this year, across any genre — and now she’s back with a single called “Dead Body.” It’s got a music video too, and it comes a month before her just-announced debut album, A Curious Tale of Trials + Persons, due on September 18. “God above me / Why do you have me living like a junkie?” she rhymes in a perfectly-delivered bar as a staticky, warped-bass beat pounds behind her.
