Joey Bada$$ took to Twitter this morning to share some thoughts regarding what he described the media’s “slander” of disgraced comedian Bill Cosby.
As you’re probably already aware, Cosby has been publicly lambasted after a number of women came forward accusing the star of drugging and sexually assaulting them over the course of many decades. Earlier this month, documents from a 2005 deposition surfaced in which Cosby admitted to using Quaaludes to drug women and sleep with them. Later, the New York Times unveiled further excerpts from the documents, which lay out in graphic detail Cosby’s “calculated pursuit of young women.”
Bada$$ does argue that, for the record, he’s “against a rapist” (meaning Cosby), but his anger lies with the media’s turning a serious issue into “propaganda.” “Im not gonna let the media brainwash me into hating one of my childhood BLACK heroes,” he writes. See the rest below.
