Outside of his work in the xx and his stellar solo material, Jamie xx has also spent time creating dance music of a different kind. A new ballet called Tree of Codes debuted this weekend at the Manchester International Festival, and it features score work from the xx beatman himself. The ballet is inspired by Jonathan Safran Foer’s redacted novel of the same name, and it runs through July 10.
